Brand Fonts in the Marketing Email Editor

What it is
Fonts from your Brand Kit, including Google fonts and custom uploads, now appear in the drag-and-drop marketing email editor's font picker, with automatic fallback handling for clients that cannot render them. Public beta, Marketing Hub Free through Enterprise.
Why it matters
Fonts have been one of the tightest constraints in the email editor, with a handful of web-safe options and nothing else. That was a defensible choice, because email clients disagree about fonts, but it meant every brand's email looked like every other brand's email.
The Take
Casey called this one out on the show as bigger than it looks. Marketing email has lived with three or four font options for years, and the reason was never HubSpot being lazy. Not every email client renders every font, so the editor stayed inside the safe set. Now the brand font goes in and a fallback goes beside it.
The caveat is the same one that has haunted email design forever. Gmail, Outlook and most mobile web clients will show the fallback, not the brand font. If your list is industrial manufacturing on Outlook, the email will not look the way the designer approved it, and that is the most painful conversation in the building when someone cares deeply about how the email looks. Use the preview tool, pick the fallback on purpose, and set expectations before the send, not after.
The reason this can ship now is worth noticing. When AI can transform content on the way out and handle the variation per client, choices like this stop being risky for the product team to add.

FAQ
Will my brand font show in Outlook?
No. Gmail, Outlook and most mobile web clients display the fallback font instead. The brand font renders where the client supports it, and the fallback handles the rest.
Where do the fonts come from?
From your Brand Kit. Google fonts and custom uploads you have added there appear in the email editor's font picker.
Who gets it?
