What it is
When you add a column to a CRM index table, HubSpot now surfaces a personalized list of recommended properties, with a hover explanation of why each one was suggested. Private beta, all hubs and tiers.
Why it matters
The index table is where most daily CRM work happens, and finding the right property among hundreds has been the friction that keeps people in saved segments and default views. Suggestions bring the relevant properties to the top, which lowers the bar for a rep to shape their own view instead of asking an admin.

A lot of salespeople still work out of segments instead of index views, and that is mostly habit. The index table has gotten steadily better, and every improvement makes it easier to move a team over. What has held the move back is that the rep has to know which columns to add, so the change lands as a stream of requests to the admin: can you add this, can you change that. Being empowered to do it yourself is what makes the change stick.
The other side of this is what the suggestions teach. The people whose whole job is inside HubSpot are often the ones seeing index pages for the first time, because when you have a job to do and a procedure to follow you do not explore. Never assume any knowledge of HubSpot exists until you have talked about it or shown it on screen. A suggestion with a why attached is a small piece of that teaching happening inside the product instead of on a call.

No. The full add-columns screen still exists for adding several columns at once or browsing everything. The suggestions are a faster path when you want one relevant column.
