HubSpot Updates: May 6, 2026

Two updates landed Wednesday and they sit on opposite ends of the platform. One is a live feature for marketers running paid social on TikTok. The other is a backend improvement to the NetSuite integration that matters most to teams working with high record volumes. Both reward a closer look.

If you watched the show today, you already heard the conversation around both of these. If you did not: Watch the recap to hear our thoughts on these updates and more.

Platform Updates Detailed

TikTok Lead Syncing

TikTok lead syncing is a data sync from TikTok into HubSpot. When a person fills out a lead generation form (called a TikTok Instant Form) directly inside TikTok, HubSpot automatically creates or updates a contact in the CRM with the information they submitted. The lead never has to leave TikTok to fill out the form, and your team never has to manually export and import a list. This is live and available across all Marketing Hub tiers.

Why it matters: Speed-to-lead is the case for this one. The faster a lead lands in HubSpot, the faster workflows, sequences, and reps can engage. Manual exports introduce delay, and delay is where conversion goes to die. The bigger pattern is that any ad platform with native lead forms is increasingly expected to plug straight into the CRM. LinkedIn and Meta have had this for years, and TikTok joining the lineup is the logical next step. Worth flagging that platform support is not the same as a strategic recommendation. If you are running TikTok lead gen at any meaningful spend, sync the leads. If you are not sure TikTok is the right channel for your buyer, the integration does not answer that question.

NetSuite App: Opportunity and Deal Sync Improvement

The NetSuite app's opportunity and deal sync was upgraded with a new data retrieval method that improves sync speed and reliability, especially for accounts working with large volumes of records. The change is on the backend rather than the user interface, but the practical impact lands directly on portals that have been hitting API call overhead, slower syncs, and rate-limit errors at scale. This is in private beta and available to accounts enrolled in the program, across all hubs and tiers.

Why it matters: The bigger thing this update signals is that HubSpot is building for record volume in a way it historically has not had to. NetSuite and the back-office systems in its category load slower than HubSpot does. When that latency stacks on top of integration architecture, teams start building spreadsheets outside the system or stop trying to improve the integration at all. A faster, more reliable retrieval layer does not solve the deeper customization gaps in the standard NetSuite app, but it makes the parts of the integration that do work, work better. That is a meaningful step for any team running this sync at volume.

Key Takeaways and Next Steps

Integration breadth keeps expanding: TikTok lead syncing closes a gap on the front end of the funnel. The NetSuite improvement strengthens the back end. Together, they show HubSpot continuing to invest in the points where customer data crosses system boundaries. Both ends matter, and the integration layer is where most teams find or lose real efficiency.

Platform support is not a strategy: A native integration is permission to do something faster, not a reason to do it. TikTok lead syncing is a useful tool if TikTok is already the right channel. If you are not sure, the strategic question sits upstream of the technical one. The same logic applies to the NetSuite improvement: a faster sync helps the teams already on the integration. It does not change the fundamental fit between the two platforms.

Beta status reflects the audience: The TikTok update is live because it serves a broad marketer base and is ready for general use. The NetSuite improvement is in private beta because the population it most helps is narrower and the team needs feedback at scale before opening it up. If you are running NetSuite with HubSpot at significant record volume, this is the kind of beta worth asking about.
