Affirm and Klarna on Checkout

Revenue HubFreeStarterProfessionalEnterprisePublic beta

What it is

Affirm and Klarna are live as installment payment options for qualified US merchants, but only on payment links — that scope was pinned down when the private beta was clarified in August. Buyers pay over time while you receive the full amount upfront, less applicable fees. Eligible methods appear under Settings > Tools > Revenue > Payments and new payment links inherit those settings; you can also toggle a method on or off for an individual payment link, invoice or quote. Two limits are worth knowing up front: Affirm and Klarna are one-time payments only, so they cannot be used for recurring subscription payments or saved for future transactions, and every transaction carries a 5.99% processing fee plus any applicable platform fee.

Why it matters

High-value purchases stall at checkout when a buyer would rather not pay the whole amount at once, and installments are the standard answer. The detail that decides whether this is usable for you is the scope: payment links only, US merchants only, on HubSpot payments or Stripe processing — and for payment links it does not matter which tier you are on. Worth knowing there are two of these. A separate update covers the wider checkout rollout across the hub and tier matrix, still described as coming. This is the piece that actually works today, on a narrow surface.
