What it is
AI email editing controls built into the Gmail Compose toolbar for any HubSpot user with the Gmail extension. Reps highlight text, choose an action (Rewrite, Shorten, Expand, Change tone), and apply the suggestion without leaving Gmail.
Why it matters
HubSpot's AI writing tools live in the CRM composer, a separate surface that breaks the rep's flow. Bringing them into Gmail Compose carries CRM context, contact data, deal stage, and brand voice into the place the rep is actually writing.

The broader pattern is worth watching. HubSpot investing in the surfaces outside its own UI, through the integrations and extensions sales teams actually live in, removes friction where it really sits. Anyone who has spent years asking a sales team to please use their email integration knows that meeting people in their tool beats adding another feature to the one they avoid.
