Relevant information for emails in Breeze Canvas
Tuesday, August 25, 2026
What it is
When you ask Breeze Assistant to write an email, Canvas now opens with a column on the right-hand side that surfaces relevant information pulled from your CRM record. The feature builds on the existing ability to draft and send emails directly from Breeze Canvas, and it is currently in private beta across all hubs and tiers.
Why it matters
HubSpot's stated reasoning: when you're sending an email through Breeze Assistant, you often want to reference CRM information to feel confident in what you're sending and to make the right adjustments, without switching to a separate tab to look up the record.
The Take
Chris Carolan
300,000 customers. How many of them actually have a well-crafted, intentional, curated contact record?
This is close. HubSpot has been building toward emailing straight out of Breeze Canvas for a while, and pairing that with a sidebar of CRM context is the obvious next step: stop making people tab over to a record to remember what they already know about a contact.
The catch is a chicken and egg problem. A sidebar can only surface what is actually sitting on the record, and most of HubSpot's roughly 300,000 customers do not have a well curated, intentionally maintained contact record. If your team keeps notes, deal context, and custom properties current, this could genuinely save the detour to the Records page. If your CRM data is thin, the sidebar will be thin too, and this update will not fix that on its own.
It also is not clear yet from the released materials how human referenceable that sidebar content actually is, or whether you will be able to shape tone and length as you edit. A lot of these AI drafts need to get shorter, not gain more context to reference.
Worth requesting the private beta if you already trust your record data, so you can see for yourself what lands in that column before deciding whether it changes how your team drafts. If your records are not there yet, treat this as a preview of where Breeze is headed rather than something to build a workflow around this week.
