What it is

Now generally available on all plans, this is a self-service interface in the HubSpot Developer Platform for building and managing your own HubSpot connectors independently. Previously, building a connector required manual coordination and custom credential management with HubSpot at each step.

Why it matters

This is developer-facing — relevant if you or your team builds integrations against HubSpot, since you can now move on your own timeline without back-and-forth. Most operators reading this can skip it; it matters to whoever owns your integrations, not to portal configuration.
