What it is

CRM views now auto-save your changes and persist them across sessions, and come with new roles and a sharing system so teams can collaborate on views without overwriting each other's work.

Why it matters

Saving behavior on CRM index pages, where you work with Contacts, Companies, Deals, Tickets, and other objects, has long been unpredictable, leading to lost work. And without granular sharing controls, accounts accumulated duplicate and stale views that were difficult to manage. This update makes saving reliable and introduces three roles that give owners, collaborators, and admins precise control over who can change a view and how changes are published.

The Take

Casey Hawkins

So that is why I'm excited. And that's why I cut the line.
— Casey Hawkins

Casey cut the line for this one, and for good reason. The "forgot to save" problem on CRM views is the single most common thing she runs into training a new client into HubSpot: someone adjusts a view, leaves the page, and the change is gone. Auto-save ends that.

Her honest caution: this changes how she personally works. She keeps standing views she starts from every day, then adjusts one for a single look and walks away, that throwaway change never used to stick. Now it will, so her own habit has to change to cloning a view and deleting it when she is done with a one-time look.

The bigger fix is the new sharing roles. The place this has bitten her most is sunsetting a property: some inactive user owns a view that still references it, an admin cannot touch that view because they do not own it, and the property gets stuck. She has had to schedule dedicated phone calls with people who barely use HubSpot just to walk them through removing one view. Owner, collaborator and admin roles are built to end exactly that holdup.

FAQ

Does this touch my portal?

Yes if your team uses saved CRM views on contacts, companies, deals, tickets or other objects. It's in private beta now, opening to more accounts from there.

How do I get it?

It rolls out as a private beta; watch for the beta prompt on your CRM index pages, or ask your HubSpot admin if the account is enrolled.

What do I do?

If you keep standing views you reuse daily, expect to change your habit, clone a view before making a one-time change so it doesn't autosave over your default. If a property sunset has been stuck on a stale view, this update is built to end that.
