Add internal HubSpot pages to your Dashboards

What it is

Embed live HubSpot pages — ticket boards, deal boards, and contact lists — directly on a dashboard, so you can monitor and act on internal CRM data without leaving the dashboard view.

Why it matters

Dashboards work best when you can act on what you see. Until now, reaching a live internal page meant navigating away and losing your place.

The Take

We finally have people using CRM index views — because we put them on the dashboard they already look at.

This was my pick for the cool one today, and it turned out to be a different feature than I expected — in a good way. You can now embed live HubSpot pages directly on a dashboard: Deal Board, Ticket Board, or Contact List. I assumed this meant embedding a HubSpot landing page or website page, which would've been useful in its own limited way. Instead it's live CRM content, sitting right next to your reports, that you can actually act on without leaving the dashboard.

Here's the thing that's been bugging both of us for a while: dashboards have never been built for action, only for viewing. You'd spot something in a report and then have to go somewhere else to actually do anything about it. Index pages have gotten steadily more actionable over the years, and this closes the last gap — people who never opened their own index pages are now going to see one, because it's sitting on the dashboard they already check every day.

One open question I don't have an answer to yet: HubSpot also shipped an update recently that sends your dashboard out as an actual dashboard-looking send instead of a static slide deck. I genuinely don't know how a live, scrollable CRM index view is supposed to render inside that kind of static send — you can't scroll or click a record inside a PDF. That's worth testing before you build a workflow around it, not assuming it just works.

FAQ

Can I embed any HubSpot page on a dashboard?

No — it's a limited set of CRM page types: Deal Board, Ticket Board, and Contact List. It doesn't cover landing pages, website pages, or fully custom index views.

Does this replace HubSpot's monthly dashboard send feature?

No, and this is an open question the show flagged rather than answered: a live embedded CRM index view is interactive, but the dashboard send exports as a static image. It's not clear yet how — or whether — an embedded index view renders usefully in that send, so test it before you rely on it.

What problem does this actually solve?

Dashboards have always been for viewing, not acting — you'd see something in a report and have to leave to do anything about it. This puts live, actionable CRM views next to your reports, so the 'go somewhere else to act' step goes away.
