New Granular OAuth Scopes and a Self-Service Migration Tool
What it is
Granular OAuth scopes are now generally available across all products and tiers, replacing broad files, timeline, tickets, and hubdb scopes with permissions tied to specific resources and actions. A Granular Scope Migration Tool, in public beta, lets developers of legacy public apps and Projects-based apps using marketplace distribution review recommended replacement scopes, customize them, and migrate on their own timeline. Private apps, private-distribution Projects apps, and service keys migrate automatically with no access to the tool.
Why it matters
If you develop or manage a public or marketplace app, check which path you're on — automatic migration, or the migration tool you need to run yourself. For most portal admins, this doesn't require action directly; it changes what permissions you'll see requested by connected apps going forward, which is worth a glance next time you approve one.
