Sales HubProfessionalEnterprisePrivate beta

What it is

An onboarding tool that imports contacts and old email threads from a connected Outlook inbox into HubSpot. After you connect a personal email, choose Actions > "Import historical data," then set a date range and whether to create new contacts. Admins control it in Email Log & Track settings. This rollout is for Outlook only. Private Beta, last updated October 12, 2026, for Sales Hub Professional and Sales Hub Enterprise.

Why it matters

Starting from scratch in a new CRM is hard. Importing your existing contacts and email context lets reps pick up prospecting where they left off.

The Take

Casey Hawkins

Email history is one of the hardest parts of getting anyone into HubSpot. On the show, we agreed this is a big reason people stay outside HubSpot, especially in Outlook land. When you migrate from another system, the emails have to come over and be associated properly, and one of us had a client ask about this specifically. So this is a useful update, and it would help most Outlook teams right away.

My reaction to the tier is that Sales Hub Pro and Enterprise only, and Private Beta, is a high bar for something this useful. Someone on the show noted that HubSpot sometimes starts with Sales Hub Pro and expands later. That is a pattern we have seen, not something HubSpot has said about this update. The Private Beta label also means you should check your own portal before you plan around it. We could not show it on air, because the host who read it out does not have Outlook connected to the portal.

On the adoption side, Chris's point is the one I would carry into any rollout: it takes the admin about five conversations to get one person bought in. His line was "get your context into HubSpot at all costs." The import is only valuable if reps connect their inboxes, so plan for that conversation.

Who should act: Sales Hub Pro or Enterprise admins with Outlook teams that are new to HubSpot or still working out of their inboxes. Check whether the beta shows in your portal, and decide the date range and the create-new-contacts setting before reps run it. Who can skip it: teams on Gmail (this rollout is Outlook only), teams below Sales Hub Pro, and portals whose reps already have their history in HubSpot.
