Improved Permissions Visibility on User Record

What it is
Previously, getting a clear picture of what a user could access meant extra steps. Admins had to open the permissions editor just to see what was already enabled. Now, that information is displayed directly on the User Record.
Why it matters
See what each user has access to without the extra steps, so it's easier to understand at a glance.
The Take
Any help with permissions is so needed.
Per the panel, what a user can access is now displayed directly on the user record. Before, admins had to open the permissions editor just to see what was already enabled. It is live for all hubs and tiers. When Chris read the title, I said: “I like these words. We'll see if it works.”
I commonly go into edit permissions just to see everything, because you had to. “So I do like having fewer clicks. And also what I like about this is if you go into edit permissions, then you might start editing permissions when that's not really what you needed to do or wanted to do.” Looking and changing used to be the same screen, and that is how accidental changes happen.
I was especially happy to see this because yesterday a client emailed asking me to add three people to HubSpot and send them some getting started tips. “And I said, I'm going to need so much more information than what you gave me.” I get it. My client hired me because they don't really understand HubSpot that well. What would help them is understanding what permissions are available and what permissions people already have. So I'll be honest: “So this didn't solve my immediate need.”
Chris took it further. He said that if we are going to get any help from AI, all the information being on the same page at the same time is a requirement, and that this view “starts to get very, very close to a job description based on all the access that you have and which object you're supposed to own.” His suggestion was to pull up Breeze with the user record on screen and ask it to document the permission set. I also liked that it shows you things you didn't know were there: “I didn't even know we could merge companies.” Ryan said the same thing about the Routing and Preferences tabs in the screenshot: “what are we routing, right? Are we routing tickets? Are we routing deals? I don't know.”
What to do: this is live, so open the user record for one person on your team this week and compare what they have with what their job actually needs. If you are adding new users, check what they already have before you start editing anything. If you are the only user in your portal, this one changes very little for you.

FAQ
What changed?
Per the panel, the information about what a user can access is now displayed directly on the user record, so admins no longer have to open the permissions editor just to see what is already enabled.
Why does that matter if I could already see it in edit permissions?
Casey said fewer clicks is nice, and that going into edit permissions just to look means you might start editing permissions when that is not what you needed to do.
Does it tell a new user what they should have?
No. Casey said it did not solve her immediate need: a client asked her to add three people with no detail on what they should be able to do. It shows what someone already has, not what they need.
How could Breeze help here?
Chris suggested pulling up Breeze with the user record on screen and asking it to document the permission set. He said the view gets very close to a job description based on the access someone has and which objects they own.
