What it is
The Knowledge Base API lets developers programmatically create and manage knowledge base articles: create, retrieve, update and publish, plus read access to knowledge base settings, categories and tags, across 15 new endpoints.
Why it matters
Until now there was no programmatic path; every article went through the HubSpot UI. The API enables bulk content imports, syncing from external documentation systems, programmatic article lifecycle management and AI content generation pipelines.
The Take
A surprise-not-surprised update: there was no programmatic way into a HubSpot knowledge base until now, so every article went through the UI. The advice from the room is not to overthink it. You do not have to engineer a data pipeline for this to matter; being in an AI conversation, spotting a good article, and shipping it straight into HubSpot is valuable on its own.
The use case that comes up with clients all the time is syncing from somewhere else: training material, LMS content and PDFs that live outside HubSpot, which Breeze cannot see until they are in. Until now that meant waiting for HubSpot to build a migrator for your particular system, and anything customized got complex fast. It is also one of the lower-risk places to start using AI on the context already sitting in your systems, because knowledge base content does not carry the lead and pipeline KPIs that tend to stall these projects, and it opens up with a single Service Hub seat.

FAQ
How would I test this in the beta?
On Service Hub Professional or Enterprise, enable the beta, then ask Claude or another AI tool to find a gap in your existing knowledge base from some source and create the article. If you do not have a knowledge base yet, point it at your inbox and have it turn a good Q&A thread into your first article.
