Lead Scoring Public API

What it is
Programmatic access to read, create, update, and delete lead scoring configurations, read computed score values, and reset scores, via versioned REST endpoints on developers.hubspot.com.
Why it matters
Scoring rules become manageable from outside the UI, which opens partner integrations, automation tooling, and external analytics against the scoring model.
The Take
Casey Hawkins
But what we still don't have is what pushed them over? Like what was the thing that pushed them over?
The first question anyone asks me about a lead score is why this person has a ten. The system can already answer that one. What it still cannot answer is what pushed them over, and there is no transparent or easy way to get to it.
So the half of this API I care about is not creating scoring rules. It is reading the configuration and the computed value together, then lining both up against the contact's timeline so you can finally name the action that crossed the threshold.
The honest version, though: most of the time the last step is not the interesting one. People do not take linear paths. What the whole picture says about whether this contact should have crossed at all matters more than which click did it, and the question to answer first is should this thing push them over.
