What it is
A rules engine that checks a quote as the rep builds it. It applies your rules for which products can or must be sold together, discount and pricing limits, and quantity thresholds, flagging problems in real time. A rule can block an invalid quote outright or just warn the rep, and can recommend adding a product. Rules can be authored in plain language through Breeze, and a testing mode shows how a rule would have affected past quotes before you turn it on. Because a rule can read any quote property, the logic can be as specific as your process needs. Available in Commerce Hub Enterprise.
Why it matters
A CPQ-style rules engine is an architectural shift, not just a feature. HubSpot has not really been in the CPQ category, and this is the kind of capability that opens up Commerce Hub for companies who would have ruled HubSpot out for quoting before. The implementation looks deep: rules can be applied against any quote property or property associated to the quote, which gives teams real flexibility to enforce business logic at the point of quote creation. If you have been thinking about how to systematize quote-to-cash, the surface inside HubSpot is now closer to what you actually need.
