Smart CRMEnterprisePublic beta

What it is

After completing a restore, admins can now view a detailed summary of what was restored, including user, scope, source and timestamp. Public beta on Enterprise tiers of every hub.

Why it matters

Admins need to confirm a restore worked without manually spot-checking records. The summary shows what changed during a restore, which reduces uncertainty and support contacts.

The Take

Chris Carolan

Restore is a word we are not used to seeing in an update. This is the screen that used to be called the recycle bin (the browser tab still says so), where you bring deleted records back from an index page. It is not a full portal backup. If you have only ever restored one record at a time, the summary will not change much for you. After a big bulk action, it will.

The more your data model grows past contacts, companies and deals, the more ways records get created and removed: UI extensions, workflows, things outside HubSpot, and now AI doing something you asked for that had consequences you did not expect. The summary lets you come in and check what was restored yourself, instead of relying on the AI that just did the thing you did not like to tell you it put everything back correctly. How you restore matters too, because you want to be sure it is not going to fire off more automation.

The better habit is still to stay out of delete situations in the first place. Quarantine and archive are good words to think about.
