What it is

Customer success managers and leaders can access out-of-the-box revenue reports and summary cards directly from the customer success workspace, including gross and net revenue retention, ARR, MRR, up for renewal, and an MRR waterfall report.

Why it matters

CS teams are measured on revenue retention. This gives CSMs and CS leaders a consistent, structured view of their book of business so they can track retention progress, forecast renewals, and prioritize customer outreach.

The Take

Chris Carolan

I look very much forward to the day where the silos of sales, service, and revenue are gone.

Read the prerequisite before you get excited. Your account needs Revenue Hub, or to be ungated on the contracts direct create and edit beta. Subscriptions alone will not produce this, and deals definitely will not. So the honest version is: add a brand new and fairly load-bearing object to your data model that you are probably not prepared to add, and then go look at all your revenue.

The direction is right, and the reason it lands here first is worth understanding. The sales workspace is built to go get net new. The customer success workspace has been able to hold the whole picture of a relationship for about two years, which is exactly why revenue reporting belongs here. For industrial manufacturing teams especially, that is the surface people should be working from.

Three questions to answer before you turn anything on. How many of your teams are actually working in the customer success workspace? Do they care about ARR and MRR? Is your data model set up to answer that well? If any of those is a no, this is a reason to go fix that, not a reason to flip a switch.
