What it is

A summer bundle of Starter-tier improvements: customizable per-user navigation, a redesigned Home, redesigned table and board views, simplified records, automations available from index pages, and full Analytics Suites for Marketing, Sales and Service now available at the Starter tier.

Why it matters

Reporting and automation have historically been the two classic reasons teams upgrade off Starter to Professional. This bundle, especially full Analytics Suites, narrows that gap.

The Take

Being told you need a significant price increase just to get what feels like basic reporting is exactly when teams start shopping other systems.

I love a Starter portal. There is a lot available in Starter for a genuinely low price, and some of my favorite projects with clients are figuring out how far we can push a Starter portal before we upgrade. So this one matters to me directly: full Analytics Suites for Marketing, Sales and Service at the Starter tier is a real relief valve.

Here is why it matters so much. The jump from Starter to Professional is a significant price increase. I have worked with plenty of teams who get told they need to pay that jump just to get what feels like basic reporting, and that is exactly the moment teams start shopping other systems entirely, not just other HubSpot tiers. Getting real analytics into Starter keeps that conversation from turning into a breakup.

I also care that these are out-of-the-box reports. Starter teams are often not deep HubSpot users, so they are not going to build custom reports from scratch, and pre-built analytics land differently for them than for an enterprise team that usually needs something custom anyway. Chris's point is worth carrying too: reporting or automation was always what pushed you up to Professional, and now that you can ask Breeze for any report, HubSpot has less leverage holding reporting at the higher tier. Credit-based features are a different value proposition and can stay gated, but this kind of non-credit capability shouldn't be locked away.

If you are running a Starter portal, go look at what the Analytics Suite actually gives you before you assume you need to upgrade for reporting. It might change your roadmap.
