Customize meeting scheduler in the CRM

What it is
Lets portals customize the meeting create form inside the CRM, choosing which properties appear and which are required in order to book.
Why it matters
The scheduler form was identical for every portal. Customizing it means capturing the data you need at the moment of booking, instead of going back into the meeting index page to set properties after the fact.
The Take
Casey Hawkins
Read the title carefully, because it is not what most people will assume. This is the meeting create form inside the CRM, the one that opens when you click the meeting button on a record. It is not the public meetings scheduler page.
That distinction is doing a lot of work, and the naming actively fights you. Hover over the sales navigation on the left and it says "meeting scheduler." The update is titled "meeting scheduler." One letter apart, completely different features. Even people who live in HubSpot all day did not clock "in the CRM" as the load-bearing phrase on first read.
Once you get past that, it is a real improvement. Custom meeting properties have existed for a couple of months and have been genuinely useful, but the meeting interface itself stayed static, which made those properties hard to actually populate. This is the step that starts making them visible where people work.
Worth tempering expectations on reach, though. Not many teams are booking meetings from this form in the first place. It matters most if you are pushing everything onto the contact record and keep running into buttons that do not do what you need.
