What it is
A new Recording and Transcription settings page gives admins one place to manage how meetings and calls are recorded and transcribed across HubSpot, covering Notetaker and the Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams integrations. This is live for Sales Hub and Service Hub Professional and Enterprise, and it does not consume HubSpot Credits.
Why it matters
Plenty of teams have transcription partially set up without knowing what is on, what is off, and what is being analyzed, because the settings were scattered. One page makes conversation capture auditable, which matters both for getting value out of it and for governing it. Worth a five-minute review even if you think your setup is fine; you may find capture options you did not know you had.
The Take
It really makes things a lot smoother sometimes to just have at least native integration settings.
Madelyn drove this one. She picked it from the list, and her point is about what teams already have switched on without knowing it. A lot of people have transcription or call analysis set up in HubSpot, she said, and then do not make a ton of use of it. Her own situation shows the gap: many of her calls do not happen as a call, they happen as a meeting, and while you can integrate meeting note takers, it makes things a lot smoother sometimes to have at least native integration settings. She thought the new page looks a lot more robust than the options HubSpot had before.
Chris verified it live. He read what the page does, one place for admins to discover and configure meeting recording and transcription, Notetaker, and the Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams integrations. He thought it seemed like a good idea, then went into Settings and found it right at the top. Madelyn noticed it does not use HubSpot Credits yet. Chris said not yet, and that in the future it might. That “yet” is the hosts' read, not a HubSpot statement. His closing thought: now we just have to get everybody willing to record their calls, and he thinks we are almost there, maybe.
What to do: this is live for Sales Hub and Service Hub Professional and Enterprise, and it is an admin page, so the person to act is whoever owns your meeting and call capture. Open it and see what is on, what is off and what is being analyzed. Madelyn's point is that many portals have more switched on than anyone remembers, and that the value comes from using what is captured.
