Another Orange Morning Recap: June 10, 2026
HubSpot cut everyone a break Wednesday. Only three updates on the board from Monday, which left room to slow down and actually use one of them on air instead of racing the clock. The episode opened on a small AI win, took a detour into email deliverability, and spent most of its time on a live Breeze demo that did not go the way anyone hoped, which turned out to be the most useful part.
Here is what we got into: an AI guardrail moment to start the show, a deliverability update only one of us had on screen, a quick nod to commerce on the way, and a hands-on look at composing emails with Breeze Assistant.
The Cold Open: AI Caught the Date
The show started with a small thing that landed bigger than it should have. Asking an AI for a recap dated to the wrong day of the week, and having it push back with the correct date instead of going along with it, is the kind of moment that used to go the other way. For a long time, models would confidently get the year or the day wrong because they were reaching for the date they were trained on. Getting corrected felt like progress worth a beat at the top of the show.
Domain Alignment on Shared Network
Only one of us had this one on screen, which made it the first thing worth reading out. Domain alignment on shared network lets you configure a custom return-path domain for each of your sending domains, so marketing emails can pass strict authentication while still going out over the shared network. Your sending domain aligns with your From address, your authentication gets stronger, and your deliverability improves. It also opens the door to BIMI, which puts your brand logo in the inbox. This is in public beta for Marketing Hub Enterprise.
Why it matters: Casey works in email marketing every week, and this is the kind of update that helps the hardest audiences. Healthcare clients, financial services clients, anyone whose recipients sit behind strict inbox rules. The phrase "strengthening your authentication posture" is a mouthful, and the honest reaction in the room was that some of this sits just out of reach without a follow-up question to an AI later. That is fine. The point is that better authentication is one of the strongest ways to make sure the emails you send actually land.

Commerce on the Move
One update got a quick highlight rather than a deep dive: Klarna and Affirm coming to checkout as installment options. The short version is that commerce is happening in HubSpot, and this is tied to the payments tool, with more on the commerce side expected soon. If e-commerce or B2B selling in HubSpot is on your radar, it is worth keeping an eye on this corner of the platform.

Composing Emails with Breeze Assistant
This was the segment we sat in, because the live demo did not behave and that was the lesson. Breeze Assistant can now be invoked right inside the CRM email composer with a slash command, so you can generate, review, and refine email text without leaving the record. It is live across all hubs and tiers.
The first draft came back generic, the kind of follow-up email that says it will send over what you covered without actually saying anything. With no real context to draw on, the draft defaulted to a sales-prospecting tone, because that is where the training data points when the record is thin. Pulling up a sparse contact and asking for a draft produced exactly the prospecting email everyone has received a hundred times. The point landed on its own: the tool is only as good as the context underneath it.
Why it matters: The value is not the first draft. It is the conversation right after. The approach that came up on air is to give the assistant the benefit of the doubt, the way you would with any AI you work in regularly, and then talk through why the output missed, fixing the template, the settings, or the data in that same moment. Asking the assistant what it needs before asking it to write is a small change that keeps a human in the loop and surfaces the data gaps you would otherwise paper over. One correction got the email noticeably closer. Bringing Breeze into the side panel, where you can have that back-and-forth, beats accepting whatever the inline draft hands you. Get your data into HubSpot, then let Breeze help, and it gets better as you go.
