Decide before you configure: Content Hub's 2026 features

You are actually about to turn one of these on — join a beta, generate a first image, or wire video clips into your social posting — and you need the order to do it in and what each step costs, in the operators' own words.

If you have five minutes

  • Content Hub's 2026 shipments are small and specific, which makes it tempting to just flip them on and see.
  • Every operator who has actually put one of these on the record attached a real caveat to it — not a hedge, a specific thing to check first.

Decide before you configure

Content Hub's 2026 shipments are small and specific, which makes it tempting to just flip them on and see. Every operator who has actually put one of these on the record attached a real caveat to it — not a hedge, a specific thing to check first. Do the checking in the order below; each one is cheaper before you commit than after.

The decisions to make before you turn a 2026 Content Hub feature on, and what each one costs if it lands late.
DecisionWhat to check firstWhat it costs to get it late
Whether to use the Image Editor for a given imageIs this a one-off, quick, roughly-sized hero image, or does it need exact production-grade outputCasey Hawkins's own fair warning: ask it for one image at a time, and trust the crop tool over a size prompt — skip that and you will re-do the image anyway
Whether to join the rounded-corners betaDoes your current template design use the box layout option; does your audience read mail in Classic Outlook on WindowsJoining removes the box layout option from template design immediately, and Outlook on Windows will render square corners no matter what you set — Chris Carolan's standing advice is not to let an email depend on the rounded corners holding
Whether to expect video clips in the social composerHas anyone generated clip suggestions from the suggestions tab in the video dashboard yetChris Carolan's own words: "If your AI Clips panel is empty, that is the prerequisite talking" — skip the generation step and the feature looks broken when it is simply unprimed
Whether to build a workflow around content agent's landing pages or blog draftsConfirm which of these is actually available to you today versus still private betaBuilding a process around a private-beta capability before it opens risks a plan built on a feature nobody can turn on yet
Whether to rely on sandbox copies of website and landing page content for testingConfirm this capability has shipped in your portal, not just been announcedIt is currently in development, not a shipped capability — a test plan built on it today is building on an announcement, not a tool

The order to actually do this in

  • Confirm status first, feature by feature, against the live HubSpot Updates record in your own portal — a title matching this door does not guarantee the same status in your account, and beta features roll out unevenly.
  • If you are touching the Image Editor: generate one image at a time, and use the crop tool rather than a size prompt when the size actually matters. This is the operator's own workflow instruction, not an optional refinement.
  • If you are touching the rounded-corners beta: check your current template design for the box layout option before opting in, and check which email clients your list actually opens mail in. Both checks are free; undoing a template redesign after the fact is not.
  • If you are touching Recommended Video Clips for Social Posts: generate clip suggestions from the video dashboard's suggestions tab before you or anyone on your team goes looking for clips in the composer. The order matters — the clips do not appear until this step has happened.
  • If you are touching anything still in private beta or in development — Create landing pages with Content Agent, Advanced Blog Creation from Breeze Assistant, or sandbox copies of website and landing pages — confirm access before building a plan that depends on it existing in your portal today.

One honest gap

Say this plainly

This Hub's own material — the actual on-air, on-the-record takes this door draws from — is thin: three signed verdicts, the fewest own takes of any of the nine Hubs. Everything above traces to those three verdicts and to the feature-status table pulled from the live record, not to a wider body of hands-on testing. Where a claim above matters to your build, read your own portal's current behavior before relying on this page — beta features move, and "public beta" today can mean something different by the time you read this.

Where to next

Where this comes from

  • Casey Hawkins on the Image Editor, on air. one image at a time, and the crop tool over a size prompt — her own workflow instruction from the demo
  • Madelyn Donovan on rounded corners and borders in marketing email. the box layout option that joining the beta removes from template design
  • Chris Carolan on Recommended Video Clips for Social Posts. the generation step in the video dashboard's suggestions tab, and the standing Classic Outlook reminder
  • The show's own HubSpot Updates records filed under Content Hub. the status behind every row of the decision table, as the record carried it on the day this door was written

What we do not know yet

  • No HubSpot-published release date is on record for any feature named above — every date here is "first covered on air." Pull the real release date from your portal's live Updates record before it goes into any internal plan.
  • Whether HubSpot's roadmap for Recommended Video Clips actually reaches the agent behavior Chris Carolan describes — pulling CRM context automatically and posting on instruction — is not known. That is where he wants it to go, in his own words, not a description of a shipped or announced roadmap item.
  • Three additional video-titled update records exist in the wider archive with no Content Hub tag today. If your build depends on treating them as part of this Hub, confirm that tagging decision has actually been made before you rely on it.

About to turn one of these on?

Bring it to a morning and we will go through it live — the image editor, the rounded-corners beta, the clips in the composer, whichever one you are looking at.
