Content Hub

The small stuff that was annoying you in Content Hub got fixed this year — the image editor's export-import round trip, the one thing the email editor could never do, and the clips already sitting in your social composer.

What we think

Content Hub's 2026 shipments are not a bigger creative suite — they're HubSpot cutting the one dumb, specific step out of a workflow you already run, one at a time, and the video work is the clearest sign of where that road ends: inside an agent, not a bigger editor.

Look at what the show actually put a take on this year and the pattern is a modest one. Casey's read on the Image Editor is the cleanest version of it: it is not going to replace Canva or Adobe, and it is not trying to — but for the very common case of needing a quick hero image at the right size with a little text on it, skipping the export-import round trip is exactly the kind of small friction worth removing. Madelyn's take on the marketing email editor's rounded corners lands the same way from the admin side, and she did not dress it up: people always ask what the editor can and cannot do, she always says you can do anything because it's a normal editor, and then she forgets every time that the sections are exactly the thing you cannot customize — that gap is what closes here. Chris's take on Recommended Video Clips for Social Posts is where the pattern stops looking backward and starts pointing forward. The clips are already waiting for you in the composer once you've generated suggestions, but what he actually wants is the version one layer up: hey agent, I want to post about this, with this video — then it goes and pulls the CRM context on its own, applies your own instructions, and uses the words your clients actually use for the thing. None of these three is a big swing on its own. Together they read as HubSpot working through a content-production workflow one annoying step at a time, and Chris's own take names exactly where he thinks that road ends.

Why this is hard

Content Hub keeps shipping the small fix and leaving the bigger question open: who is actually running this workflow, you or the agent.

  • The Image Editor is not going to replace Canva or Adobe, and it is not trying to — so you still need to know which small jobs it's actually good for, ask it for one image at a time, and trust the crop tool over a size prompt.
  • The rounded-corners fix ships with two real catches: the box layout option is removed from template design the moment you join the beta, and Classic Outlook on Windows will render square corners regardless — so check both before you lean on it.
  • Recommended Video Clips for Social Posts is, today, just clips waiting for you in the composer. The thing Chris actually wants — an agent that pulls CRM context and posts on your behalf — is not what shipped; it's where he thinks this is going.
