Return is the number everyone asks for. Visibility is the one nobody has.

Ask a CFO what their AI is returning and you get a shrug, a spreadsheet, or a vendor’s slide. That is not because the finance team is behind — it is because the question cannot be answered from what the tools currently show. Nobody can see how much AI horsepower went into producing a given outcome. Not the credits, not the agent runs, not the hours it displaced, and not which of them touched the thing that closed. Solve the seeing problem and the return argument makes itself; lead with profitability and you are arguing about a number neither side can source. So we track visibility, in three parts: what the AI is doing, what it costs to run, and what came out the other end.

Why this is hard

Nobody can see how much AI horsepower went into producing an outcome. That single missing view is why the finance conversation about AI stalls, and why the argument keeps being had with numbers neither side can source.

The work is invisible: agents run in a dozen places, and no view gathers them.
The cost is new: credits started mattering the moment the agents stopped being free.
The output is unattributed: something improved, and nothing says which AI touched it.
